Pumpkin Gratin

INGREDIENTS

  • ( 8 servings )
  • 1 Medium size Kabocha Pumpkin
  • 1/4 lb Grand beef
  • 1cup Shredded cheese
  • 1/2 medium Onion
  • White sauce/Bechamel sauce* (ratio 1: 1: 10)
  • 2oz Butter 1
  • 2 oz All-purpose flour 1
  • 20 oz Milk 10
  • * You may use sauce comes in a jar or follow the direction ①to③

1. Put butter and flour in a medium size microwave safe bowl, microwave for 2min.



2. Mix them well, add a half of milk, and blend well, Microwave for another 2min.



3. Add another half of milk, blend well again, and microwave additional 2min.



4. While this sauce is hot, add ground beef and mix them well, microwave for 2 min.



5. Rinse the outside of the pumpkin with cool water to get rid of any debris and dirt.



6. Cut the stem of the pumpkin off and place pumpkin in a microwave safe bowl, and cover with plastic wrap. Microwave 6-8 min or until pumpkin is soft enough to handle. Cut the pumpkin from side to side (not top to bottom. Shown on the picture above) Use whole pumpkin as a container



7. Dig out the stringy stuff and seeds with a metal spoon.



8. Pour #4& shredded cheese into pumpkin. Place them in the inner pan.



9. Select [Bake] menu, set the time for 50-60min.



10. When LCD starts flashing 0 min. open the lid check pumpkin is fully cooked. If it’s not, bake another 15min.
