Corned beef and cabbage

INGREDIENTS

  • (5 serving)
  • 5 ounces kosher salt
  • water
  • 2-3/4 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2-3/4 black peppercorns
  • 1/3 onion, chopped
  • 1/3 medium head cabbage
  • 5 Whole cloves
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 tsp powdered English mustard
  • 1 small fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp coriander

1. Place all the ingredients into inner pot.



2. Add water to water level 8



3. Press the [Menu] key to select “Slow Cook” menu. Every press on the “Menu” key creates a beeping sound and the arrow indicates on “Slow Cook” blinks.



4. Set the cooking time for 180min. Set the cooking time using the [Hour] and [Min] keys. Cooking time can be set in 5-minute intervals from 5 to 180 minutes.*each time the Hour key is pressed, the cooking time increases 5 minutes. Each time the Min key is pressed, the cooking time decreases 5 minutes. Every press on the “Minute” key creates a beeping sound and the arrow indicates on “Slow Cook” blinks.



5. Press the [Start] key once. The food starts cooking. Every press on the [Start] key creates a beeping sound and the [Start] light will turn on.
